General:

Fencing: 1998 - 2002

Siege: One of the first three authorized Siege Engineers in Atlantia. Charter member of the Atlantian Society for Siege Engines and Heavy Infantry Projectiles (ASSWHIP). Has participated as a siege engine crew at a number of events including Pennsic.

Archery: Member of Winning team from the Barony of Ponte Alto at Defending the Gate -- 2005.  Also an authorized Combat Archer.

A&S: Primarily Costuming and embroidery:

  • First learned embroidery for the Atlantian Royal Cloaks Project. Contributed with two roses and one leaf in Long Arm Cross stitch. (The list of embroiderer's in the Kingdom Website is still being updated.)
  • Created many bean bag daggers and other bean-bag throwing items for several consort fencing tourneys.
  • I have sewed much of my garb during my time in the SCA. My most recent garb I have sewed myself includes five kirtles with hand stitched roll hems, two sideless surcoats, and one roll hemmed veil. 

Works:

  1. Pennsic 31 (2002) Volunteer Driver for Mobility Services. 
  1. Eine kleine (2003). I was in charge of and ran A&S for this Ponte Alto event.
  1. Hand sewed four felt stick horses for Ponte Alto’s 2004 “Day at the Races,” event.  I also operated the “rental pony,” emporium for this event.
  1. Ponte Alto Baronial Investiture (2004).  Helped with hall set-up and decoration.
  1. Assisted in hand sewing the bottom seams to the baronial heavy favors in preparation of presentation at the Ponte Alto Baronial Investiture (2004).
  1. One of three people that hand drew and dyed four flags with the heraldry of all the Atlantian Baronies. Also learned flag routine which we performed with these flags for Ponte Alto’s 2004 “Day at the Races,” event (pictures also can be found at link above...I’m wearing the blue and white striped pants).
  1. Pennsic 33 (2004): I did the grocery shopping, helped with prep and set-up, and was in charge of the Ponte Alto hospitality tent on the rapier field during the Atlantian Five Man Melee Rapier Tournament.
  1. Kingdom 12th Night 2004, assisted in running A&S.
  1. Kingdom A&S, acted as proxy for Ponte Alto’s baronial A&S champion and helped judge the inter-baronial A&S competition.
  1. Local Retainer for TRM Janos  and Rachel, during their first reign (2004-2005)
  1. Sapphire Joust (2004) assisted as a Minister of the Lists (Mol) in training on the Rapier field. This was one of two of my apprenticeship events in order to obtain my MoL warrant.
  1. Defending the Gate (Stierbach event).  As a member of the winning Ponte Alto archery team.
  1. (Can’t remember event name) (2005) Steirbach event assisted as an MoL on the heavy field. Second of two apprenticeship events in order to obtain my MoL warrant.
  1. August 2005, MoL Warrant obtained.
  1. Acting Head Retainer for TRH Janos II and Rachel II at Pennsic 34 (2005).
  1. Chalice of the Sun God, (Ponte Alto, 2005) assisted in clean up of the campsite after event.
  1. “Day at the Races II,” (Ponte Alto, 2005).  I assembled and painted four rental boats. I again operated the “boat rental emporium,” for this event and I acted as MoL by keeping track of the race scores in the single elimination boat race tournament. I also helped with site clean-up.
  1. Retainer and Quartermaster (in charge of cleaning and repairing royal regalia) during TRM Janos II and Rachel II’s reign (2005-2006).
  1. Northern Regional Deputy Head Retainer from December 2005 – April 1st, 2006. In charge as Head Retainer for all Royal Progress Events in Maryland and Virginia, including Kingdom 12th Night, Inter-baronial 12th night and Ice Castles.  (Note: I will not be attending Ice Castles as Head Retainer as I have a previous commitment to my barony, I will be doing the scheduling of the retainers and for a proxy to act as Head Retainer.)
